Alaró is a small town on the island of Majorca and it is home to a number of very interesting and historical attractions. One of the most significant of which is the Castillo de Alaró, or Alaró Castle, which is found in the centre of town and dates back to the thirteenth century. The Christian inhabitants of the island built the castle at the time and it is now one of the most popular excursions by visitors to Mallorca. You can access the castle after parking at the Es Verger restaurant or by walking by foot up form the village below.

 

The castle is by far the most impressive attraction in Alaró but it is certainly not the limit of what the town has to offer.
